Hello! Welcome to my webpage, a small contribution to Celestia. What is Celestia? It is a freeware, virtual reality space exploration program made by Chris Laurel. Here I have gathered update files and add-ons from all over the Celestia forum and some from Ivan Rivera's (Bruckner's) site, but his site has been down for a while, so some of the files don't work. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, worrys, or wonders, you can contact me by clicking the link above. Thank's for stopping by!
January 31, 2004:
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!! Well, I guess it's a little late for that. Anyway... UPDATE! Contrary to many rumors, I'm not dead!!! Heh, all silly-ness aside, I've FINALLY made some updates. I know, FINALLY, how long's it been anyway? Sheesh, lets see.... almost 3 months. I just haven't had as much time, especially due to midterms. But their over now, so I had some time to make changes. Although there was.... Ah, you guys don't care about that, on to the updates! I've added a new section on the Imaginary/Semi-Imaginary for Celestia Activities. I'll probably devide it up better later on. Added a bunch of things to the Real page, and one ot the Imaginary page. I guess thats all for now.
November 09, 2003:
Made a little FAQ, it's basically all of the questions on the Celestia forum. That's it 'till Tuesday (I got it off!).
November 08, 2003:
Well, I got a bunch more of Bruckners add-ons working, so now a good deal of the imaginary page works. Thats it for the moment.
November 02, 2003:
Had a few free minutes today, so I fixed all of the backgrounds on all the pages. Not really that important, but it looks cool. There has been some really heated debate (well, more like planning) on the Add-On Manager. Click here to check out the latest news on it.
November 01, 2003:
Jeese! It's been almost a whole month since my last update. Well, I'd better get on to mentioning the changes. I hope you don't expect too many updates, although I would if I were all of you. I found a few more of the "missing files" from Bruckner's site. His dissappearance (or should I say absence) has been a really popular topic on the forum lately. Celestia Visions (by Rassilon) is slowly gaining popularity by many users as a back-up for the main Celestia forum. The site has strangely been off-line a few times today. For the countries that celebrate it, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I guess thats it for now. I'll really try to keep up on the updates from now on. I've got this Tuesday and next Tuesday off, so that should give me at least a little more time. Well, I guess I'm gonna go get some hot chocolate, it's freezing here! Oh! By the way, did anyone see the aurora's? They were beautiful! Only saw one, but heard about a bunch of them. Well, see-ya later.
October 05, 2003:
Well, I finally fixed a whole bunch of links on the real page (HINT: If a link doesn't work, right-click it and select 'open in new window'). Thankfully I have tomorrow off because of a Jewish holiday. But not-thankfully I have to spend all day trying to memorize a recepie for spanish class. But that's besides the point. Well, I'm wiped, so i'm going to bed. Good luck!
October 02, 2003:
Another long span wihtout any updates, I suspect it will be like this for a long time. Homework has been brutal. Anyone ever had to disect a fetal pig and then reconstruct its bone structure as a model? I have. I've added a whole bunch of files in the real section. For those who didn't know, my 16th birthday was Sep. 24th. It was definately a great party. I'm thinking about putting up an index page that plays a midi (i'd change it like every time I updated the page). I may replace this one with it, or juswt make a whole seperate index page, exactly the same as this, except with music. Then you can decide weather you want to go to it or not. Well, I DO have homework, so see you in a week or so! Oh, by hte way, I was wrong about midmarks; they don't come out until next Wednesday (thank God!!!). Have a great week!
September 21, 2003:
Wow! It's been like two weeks since my last update! I've added some things to the real section, and a new page in the links section. The homework in the highschool (not to mention the quizzes and tests) are brutal. Thats why i've been really quiet. The scilence may continue for a little while longer than this time, because I think midmarks come out next friday. Oh boy!.
September 07, 2003:
Another small update, 2 new files on the Real page. School is pretty brutal right now, and it's only gonna get worse. That's it.
September 01, 2003:
I had a few extra minutes today, so I added this little quiz that you can take. "It's one of those What Do You Really Think About Me?" quizes. It's on the Links page.
August 29, 2003:
It's been a while hasen't it? Well, here's another update. A few new files in the Real section. The reason its been so long is because sommer is comin' to a close and all, and I'm trying to get all my summer work done (procrastination is my specialty). So now with school starting, my life-guarding job starting in the fall, finishing my boyscout project, and now I have to join an after school club or something for college, my time is thinning out severly. So updates will be even more rare.
August 22, 2003:
Well, the Link Page is progressing quite nicely. I've added another link, one in the not celestia-related section. It's called coffee break. It's a nice little program that pretends to install a program so you can take a break. Oh yea, I changed the logo at the top a little, too. There will probably be some add-on updates later on today or tomorrow.
August 20, 2003:
I've added another page, except it's just for links and other miscellaneous things. Some of them are Celestia-related links, others aren't. Thats it for now.
August 17, 2003:
Ok, I finished the file sizes for both sections, but some may be left blank due to the fact that I couldn't download it to see how big it is. Please if anyone has a file thats in the imaginary section, send it to me so I can mirror it! Thanks.
August 17, 2003:
It's been requested by a few people, and I finally decided to stop being so lazy. Now there are sizes next to each file so you will know how big it is before you download it. The Real section is done, i'll get to the Imaginary one later. The sizes are in bytes, so for those of us that are a little size conversion impared, i've made a little chart for you. That's pretty much it.
August 15, 2003:
Ok, so life isn't so bad. Bravenet (witch ironically i've been using for my counters) has given me the space I need to finally re-re-re-open my site, and from past experiences, hopefully maintain it with practially 0% downtime. Today is the grand opening (for the Fourth time) of My Celestia Page (que the music). Let's see, first it was GeoCities, which didn't give me enough bandwidth; then it was Web1000, which just stopped letting me sign in for no apparent reason; then it was My-J-Space, which gave me too much trouble with uploading my download page. Whew! So now it's Bravenet's turn. That's it for now.
August 14, 2003:
Well, I got one half of the Real download page up, the A-M page, but there is something wrong with the N-Z page. Well, there isnt actually anything wrong with the page, the server just wont accept it. So, obviously it isn't up yet... but I will be trying to get ANOTHER new server to use because the idiots in charge of running this one don't seem to have any idea of what they are doing. Ah well, that's life.
August 13, 2003:
Hey, did anyone of you happen to catch the meteor shower early today? I sure didn't. The weather here is horrible, nothing but clouds and rain for the last two and a half weeks straight. Miserable. On a lighter note, a few updates for today, some in both sections. I had to split the Real section in half because hte html file was too big. But now that the summer is winding down, and I'll be going into 10th grade, a whole new school (amity has a weird way of grouping grades, 1-6, 7-9, 10-12), So this will be my first time in the high school. When we start to round September, you can expect to see huge time differences in updates, just like this one. I'm expecting more work than ever. We'll see what happens. That's all for now.
August 04, 2003:
What a weekend! I'm back from my short vacation away, and was it fun. I've even got a picture of my group rafting, although i'm not sure who took it... Anyway, lots of updates for today, it almost seems like everyone waits untill I'm away, then they put up things like crazy, or I could just be being paranoid...; they're pretty much all in the "Real" section. I'm out for now, peace.
August 01, 2003:
Ok, back for tonight because half way through New York, A charter bus rear ended one of our cars, which hit our trailer, which hit one more of our cars, which hit another of our cars, which hit someone else infront of us we didn't know. So in total, there is one damaged bus, one completely totaled car, one totaled trailer, and 3 damaged cars. What a day. No one was hurt, thank god; but the bus company is going to have to pay for it all (what a bill!). So I'll be leaving early tomorrow morning instead.
August 01, 2003:
Don's 16k earth texture is finally done! A few more addons have also been added, such as an additional earth locations file. Well, I'm going rafting and then paint balling in Pennsylvania, so I'll be back probably monday. See-ya.
July 29, 2003:
So many thanks go out to Abiogenesis for all his help with the Bruckner-related add-ons, and to Darkmiss, Gordon, & Jeam Tag for their help with the Sputnik 1 model, and to AngelFire for hosting some of the files. Ok, now that my long list of thank-you's is over, I should probably tell you the sputnik model and orbit ssc files are improved, but they aren't marked as new, because they actually aren't. Somehow I missed it when it came out. Anyway, now almost all of the files in the real section work (with the exception of 1 or 2), that is, IF you read the comments section and see that some links have to be RIGHT-CLICKED AND OPENED IN A NEW WINDOW. You may see some periods of time as long as a week or two where I don't post any updates. This is because the updates server has been really screwey lately. Thats all for now.
July 27, 2003:
Ok, just a few small updates, nothing really worth mentioning. That's basically it. Hmmm... it'd probably be more worth while posting about my sister molly and her soft ball team. GO ORANGE ALL-STARS!!!
July 24, 2003:
Well, I decided to change my devider, I dunno, I was kinda bored today. I got a few more links on the Imaginary section fixed, but it's gonna be tough getting them all working. Can't wait for Don Edwards's new 16k earth texture, but it's gonna be a BIG file. Oh well, whatever.
July 22, 2003:
Sorry for the delay, but my cousins from the other side of the country were just here for a week, then I had to go away for a week, then my cousins came back for another week. Crazy, isnt it? Anyway, I decided to spend a day checking over my links, and boy was I supprised. Almost half of my page didnt work! so i spent about 2 hours on it, and got the number of dead links to about 15. What really supprised me was not that half my page didnt work, it's that no one ever said a WORD about half my page being dead. Ah, whatever. now I've devided the download page into two halfs. one for "Real" files, and one for "Imaginary/Semi-Imaginary" files. If you know of a link for any file that I don't have a link for, please send me an e-mail. Thats all fom now.
June 27, 2003:
OK! Finals are finally over. School ran longer than ever; we didn't get out until the 25th because of all the snow days. Now you can all expect to see updates a little more frequently.
October-June, 2002-2003:
THE LOST ENTRIES.
(When I just replaced the previous entry with the new one)
Mid-October, 2002:
OPENING DAY OF MY SITE! (Ok, so I don't know the exact date)
